Enjoy the beautiful Central Coast Wineries for a great cause! Choose from over 50 wineries to visit throughout SLO County the weekend of April 10th-11th to help raise funds and awareness for Woods Humane Society while enjoying our beautiful wine region.

Kids 8-13 years of age are going to love coming to Avila Bay Club for three days of fun and functional fitness! Date: January 5, 6, and 7th. 9 a.m. - 1 p.m.

The Avila Bay Athletic Club gives a HUGE THANKS to members, employees, and friends who rode for and/or sponsored the most recent Cancer Well-fit Spin-A-Thon. Your sweat and generosity helped us to raise over $2,000 for this very, very good cause!

The Avila Bay Athletic Club held it's annual tennis club championships-not only was it a weekend of fun, it was also a fundraiser for the Devin Rippner's "Build A School, Make a Difference" Peace Corp project! We'd like to offer a resounding and heartfelt "thank you!" to the wonderful elementary schoolchildren of Old Mission Catholic School who collected donations for the seventh consecutive year during this year's "Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF" program on Halloween. This year, Old Mission’s schoolchildren collected $857.23, their biggest donation yet.

We want to thank the supporters who attended our Boys & Girls Club End of Summer fundraiser during one of the hottest afternoons of the year. The Board of Directors and the Executive Director are appreciative of your attendance.

I was glad to hear of Van Jones leaving as presidential czar. I'm concerned about the 30+ czars in place that did not go through the normal routine rules and processes in place for government positions. Have you seen or read about Van Jones background?
