I was in Morro Bay about three days ago. I forget the intersection on the Embarcadero where I saw the sign but it was approximately in the center with a steep hill and an open area. The steep hill had a sign posted Steep Hill Slippery When Wet and about a half a block prior on the corner looking as if it was the street name sign the sign said public rest rooms with an arrow pointing in both directions. I saw this and had to take a double look and thought wow what do the tourists think when they go to Morro Bay and not know the street is the Embarcadero but possibly a street sign with the name PUBLIC RESTROOM. I know the city council in Morro Bay did not fully think this through and it is a huge Gaff. What was the person thinking when this sign was placed on a corner looking as if it street sign name. I wonder what Morro Bay will do when it becomes aware of this Gaffe. Maybe Jay Leno may want to do a joke on this as well. Just wanted to bring a bit of laughter into the hearts of SLO County Residents.
Sincerely,
