Battle of the mix CDs
So features staff member Justin and I are locked in a brutal feud over who has made the best mix CD. You can see details in Justin's blog post and in my own.
I chose to make a CD containing what I consider the most awesome British songs I could think of. Obviously limiting myself to a singe CD worth of songs proved difficult.
Here is my track listing:
- U2 – Where the Streets Have No Name
- The Who – Baba O’Riley
- Genesis – Land of Confusion
- Simple Minds – (Don’t You) Forget About Me
- Jamiroquai – Canned Heat
- Tears for Fears – Head Over Heals
- Queen – Under Pressure
- Led Zeppelin – Immigrant Song
- Coldplay – Clocks
- The Police – Roxanne
- Ozzy Osbourne – Crazy Train
- Derek & the Dominos – Layla
- Elton John – Daniel
- John Lennon – Imagine
- Stereophonics – Handbags and Gladrags
- Pink Floyd – Comfortably Numb
- Radiohead – You
- Dire Straits – Money For Nothing
Now, I understand that this may be a slightly controversial list, for a start there are no Rolling Stones, or Beatles songs on there. The reasons I picked all those songs can be found in my blog post.
What do you think? What songs would you have included on your "Most awesome British CD"?

You did a great job, and (honestly) I'm not just saying that... You'd get my vote, all the way!
I agree KT. No contest! You'd get my vote Daniel.
What about the Proclaimers though?
