who thinks Dalidio Ranch should be an open-air mall with Macy's and Target?
I believe Dalidio Ranch should be a 430,000sq. ft. open-air mall with Macy's and Target w/ a food court and arcade for teens to hang out at.
He should pay for half of the 101 interchange and annex the land into the city.
Who also thinks the project should be an open-air mall?

Read David's blog entry where he advocates for a mall and a bunch of other development-related stuff here.
And then share what you think. Is that what you want?
I'm ok with Dalidio's plan. I think it was well planned for the county's needs and suitable for SLO Co. It's in the middle of what has already been developed. SLO City... let it go.

San Luis Obispo is close to southern california, and the state already ordained(it's going to happen) the county to have 100,000 more population by 2030. That means more urban sprawl as well.
San Luis Obispo county is suburbia without a city. It's one of the 24th largest counties in California, and the only one without a mall. In fact, even smaller counties than us have a mall.
Most of the county is small, and if you don't like SLO growing then move to north county where things will stay small. SLO in 2020 is estimated to have 2020, as to Dalidio's future project. I can only hope that he decides to build an open-air mall with Target and Macy's.
If Macy's doesn't go in there, then it's going to be JcPenney's in his current power center(big shopping center). It's up to what citizens of San Luis Obispo want. Another ugly big-box center that will bring more big-box stores and traffic, or something new with more popular tenets that looks attractive.
Lastly, be glad that San Luis Obispo will still be small up to 2020. Be glad the county will be small until 2030. And if you really don't like SLO changing then move to north county where it's a big hotter, and things aren't as upscale as south county.
