BUY LOCALLY AND SUPPORT MOTHERS AGAINST DRUNK DRIVING THIS GRADUATION SEASON

It is graduation season again and there will be many celebrations and opportunities to indulge and the temptation to get behind the wheel. ToeOut Performance Systems of Arroyo Grande wants to promote safe and responsible driving. During the month of June, ToeOut Performance Systems Inc. will donate a portion of each sale to Mothers Against Drunk Driving.
According to the San Luis Obispo County Drug & Alcohol Services. San Luis Obispo County consistently ranks higher than the California average for adult arrests for driving-under-the-influence and adult arrests for alcohol violations. Observers attribute SLO County's ranking to alert law enforcement and the high percentage of college-age population among the general driving population. Although DUI arrests are high, SLO County's alcohol-involved motor vehicle accidents and hospitalizations are among lowest in the state.

    Templeton Independent Study High School

The Templeton Independent Study High School (TISHS) program is a WASC Accredited program offered by Templeton Unified School District that provides individualized instruction and to students seeking a high school diploma. We designed the program to allow students to progress at their own rate. The flexible scheduling allows students to have jobs during the day and remedy credit deficiencies.

TISHS students can also pursue higher education opportunities (i.e. Cuesta College, University of California College Prep) and earn both high school and college credit while taking their regular high school courses. All program curricula are standards-based and aligned with California State Curriculum Frameworks. The graduation requirements are identical to those at the comprehensive high school.

Templeton Home School is currently accepting applications for the 2008-09 school year. Templeton Home School is a part of Templeton Unified School District. We are a K-8 home school program staffed with fully credentialed teachers. Home School is being recommended for WASC accreditation for the 2008-09 school year.
Each student and parent meets with their teacher for a weekly one hour meeting. The school provides state approved standards-based, district adopted curriculum and a wide variety of supplemental materials. In addition, the program offers many opportunities for an enriched school experience: Spanish, Art, Ceramics and Science classes, a Reading Lab, Science Fair, Spring Recital, Assemblies, Field Trips, and a variety of workshops and special events throughout the year. We are in the planning stage of providing a San Luis Obispo office for the K-8 Home School. Call 434-5828 for information and applications.

    Streamingly Idiotic

    Danny's picture

No doubt you will have noticed that The Tribune has started broadcasting live streaming video of the county supervisors race forums. Last week, we hosted the 3rd district debate here at the Tribune office and today we went to the Paso Robles Inn for the District One debate.I won't bore you with the details of the technical wizardry that was required to stream the video, because that's really not a very interesting story. Let's just say that we managed to get everything working with only minor hiccups and I'm pretty happy with the results.

There was, however one fairly major hiccup that occurred right after the Paso Robles broadcast. You see, there's a reasonable amount of equipment involved in the process; we have to bring microphones, a camera, a computer, tripods, etc. Not to mention all the wiring that has to be done to get everything connected. It's a fairly lengthy process that requires someone of obviously genius-level intelligence to facilitate.

It's such a shame that it was left to me then, since I am clearly an idiot.

Autism can be prevented if men knew about the Male Biological Clock and Genetic Disorders Due to the fact that Sperm Come From Precursor Cells that DIVIDE MANY MANY TIMES and Mistakes Multiply: http://how-old-is-too-old.blogspot.com/ and http://themalebiologicalclock.blogspot.com/

    It's a stream -- a live stream!

edit: so the streaming is over now, but it all worked out awesome-ly. Let us know if there's anything you think we should stream live.

Watch the recording here: Part one and Part 2

Today has been pretty exciting and tonight is going to be even better.

Right now, sanluisobispo.com will be broadcasting the 3rd District Supervisor's forum -- live.

We've got a fancy camera, a new mixing board and we spent all day testing it.

If you can't make it to the Tribune to watch Jerry Lenthall and Adam Hill spar words, check it out at our site.

It’s an exciting day for blogging on SanLuisObispo.com, for today we have implemented phase one of an awesome new plan to improve our staff blogs. Starting this afternoon, the existing Features blog, SLOGoings, is no more. Instead features writers Pat Pemberton and Sarah Linn are dividing their resources up and will be authoring two separate blogs. Pat will be working on the music and surfing themed Sidetracked, while Sarah will concentrate on movies and pop culture in her new blog, She Likes to Watch.
